About

Hey, you found us.

What we do

The cPanel Admin and The Virtuozzo Admin are sister sites that help cPanel and Virtuozzo system administrators maximize their potential by providing a targeted wealth of knowledge that furthers productivity, efficiency, and quality in order to give a technical advantage in a fast-growing and highly competitive industry.

In other words, we know stuff about cPanel and Virtuozzo.

Who we are

There are several contributors and investors to this blog. We will have bio pages up shortly, but in the meantime, you should know that everyone that contributes articles to this site is a Virtuozzo expert working in the hosting industry. We don’t take stuff off other sites and reword it to pretend like we know what we’re doing – this is the real deal.  We all have contributions that make this blog unique and informational.

How this all started

This site is a combined effort between several technical professionals in the hosting industry. If you look around, there are really not many sites out there dedicated to Virtuozzo system administration, which is ridiculous considering how it’s one of the most commonly-used enterprise virtualization softwares out there!  We decided to launch this site after the success of our sister site, thecpaneladmin.com.

Why you need this site

One of the biggest problems in system administration is knowing how to do something but not know how that something actually works. Our site is different because we want you, as the system administrator – the most important person in your company, to gain an understanding about Virtuozzo that will essentially allow you to figure out almost anything when it comes to your server. We want you to know how things work so you can come up with solutions. Educated sysadmins get the job done faster, quicker, and better.

How you can support this site

Running a website is expensive from a time standpoint. We all have full time jobs and social lives, and we work very hard supporting the consultation business we’ve developed.  We’re offering up our expertise for free, with little return other than the satisfaction of providing a valuable service – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We spend about 20 hours a week updating, promoting, and improving this site and we want people to use it, which will lead to increased funding for this project that will provide us with the ability to expand our article base. Therefore, there are a few ways that you can help support this website – any support is appreciated:

  • Purchase ad space
  • Donate. You can currently make donations via PayPal to admin[at]thecpaneladmin.com
  • Spread the word! If you like our site, tell your friends about it!

Teensy Disclaimer

The publishers of this site do indeed work in the hosting industry. That being said, there are some things we really can’t talk about without making our bosses really, really angry. This site is not affiliated in any way with the hosting companies we work for, nor should our view or tips automatically be interpreted as views, policies, or procedures of our employers. We are simply trying to provide valuable information to server administrators–not sabotage our employers, divulge privileged information, or release the secrets we all have that make our employers’ product stand out–nor would we ever intentionally post information that does so.
